The ocean view from our private and covered oceanfront deck is breathtaking. Shore birds in the back yard and brown pelicans overhead during the day, a picture perfect sunset in the evening, and a clear view of the stars and moonlit beach at night.

Tranquility 2 is all about convenience. The Oak Island Beach Villas Community Park and pool are not far from the front door of Tranquility2. The beautiful Oak Island Country Club golf course is right across the street. Get an early tee time and you're on the beach before noon. Speaking of noon; don't want to leave the beach to make lunch? How about a short walk up the beach to the Yaupon pier for reasonably priced food and an open-air ocean view while you eat?

Between Oak Island and nearby Southport the restaurant, shopping, and entertainment choices are endless. Of course, the Southport ferry ride is an adventure in itself and at the end is one of the best aquariums on the North Carolina coast. Just up the road is the historic Fort Fisher. Make it a day trip by driving up the Cape Fear peninsula into Wilmington for more history, dining and entertainment. If you stay late don't worry about missing the last ferry, the drive back from Wilmington is only 30 minutes! Or drive back early and stop along the way to see the USS North Carolina,the beautiful gardens of Orton Plantation and take in more history at Old Brunswick Town right next door.
